Successful Candidates will have:
  • At least a BS in Planning, Landscape Architecture or Architecture
  • Previously demonstrated written and oral presentation skills
  • Previously demonstrated skills in ArcGIS, CADD and Microsoft Office and design visualization software
  • Professional registration (AICP/RLA) is preferred
  • LEED accreditation is a plus
  • U.S. Citizenship
Knowledge of:
  • Military master planning processes/techniques/guidance
  • Basic facilities requirements for various types of federal facilities
  • LEED and sustainable planning and design principles
  • Form-Based Codes
  • Planning charrette processes
  • Data collection and inventory methods

Woolpert, Inc., a leading architecture, design and geospatial firm, is seeking a Master Planner specializing in military and federal campus projects. Ideal candidates will have 8-15 years of recent master planning experience with federal government clients and a strong emphasis on military installations. Preferred office location will be in the Dayton, OH office.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and skills in master planning processes, including planning and design charrettes, urban design concepts and project display techniques. Prior military service is favorable.
Tasks to include:
  • Work as part of integrated master planning and design teams
  • Will provide leadership and mentoring to junior planning staff
  • Assist in the research and preparation of Vision Plans/Installation Development Plans/Area Development Plans and others as required
  • Assist in the supervision of report preparation and presentation graphics
  • Provide assistance in business development and client management activities
  • Assist Project Managers in project definition and planning project phases
  • Effectively communicate with Woolpert staff and external clients
  • Travel with Project Teams
