Dyett & Bhatia (www.dyettandbhatia.com) is a 20-person urban planning firm, with a focus on preparing long-range plans for cities, and an award-winning portfolio of work. Our office is located in the vibrant, historic Jackson Square District in downtown San Francisco, easily reached by transit, with scores of restaurants and cafés within walking distance.
The Position
We are looking for a Planner with strong writing and analytical skills to work on a range of long-range planning assignments, such as general plans; specific and community plans; and station area/Transit Oriented Development plans. Projects are located throughout California. Work will involve research and analysis, preparing plans and environmental review documents, and assisting with community outreach and project coordination. Ideal candidate will have exposure to California planning practice, and some prior experience in land use or environmental planning.
Hiring level is open, DOE.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Candidates should have:
  • Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum one-year urban or environmental planning experience. Graduate degree in planning or related field and/or additional experience is desirable
Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents or have U.S. work authorization, and possess a driver’s license.
