Information Technology Technical Associate
Network Engineer

The Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC) at University of Illinois at Chicago seeks self-motivated, responsible professionals to work in an energetic, research and education environment with a focus on converged voice and data networks. The position will involve implementation and support of various network systems and projects in a large campus-wide network environment. The successful candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter, with strong communications skills, who will oversee projects from start to finish and will work closely with other campus network and communication groups. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and basic windows networking experience preferred.


Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

1. Any combination totaling two (2) years from the following categories:

a) Progressively more responsible work experience in IT-related profession

b) College course work in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

● 60 semester hours or Associate’s Degree equals one year

● 90-120 semester hours or Bachelor’s Degree equals two years

2. Experience and/or training with Cisco network design, installation and support
