Arts Alliance Illinois is currently seeking friendly, outgoing and responsible individuals to collect surveys for its 2012 arts and economic impact study. Successful candidates will be personable, highly organized individuals with good oral, written and communication skills.

Organization
Founded in 1982, Arts Alliance Illinois is a statewide arts advocacy and service organization promoting the value of the arts to all residents of Illinois. Through research, capacity building, and communication, the Arts Alliance advances widespread support of the arts, enhances the health of the arts and cultural sector, and fosters a climate in which the broadest spectrum of artistic expression can flourish.

Description
These are part-time, paid positions. The core of data collection involves conducting in-person audience intercept surveys at pre-determined arts and cultural events in Chicago and its suburbs. This brief and anonymous survey must be filled out completely by audience members and returned in a timely fashion to Arts Alliance Illinois. The majority of surveying will take place on nights and weekends through December 31, 2011. We will assign events and exhibits according to your availability.

Successful Candidates
The best Field Data Collectors are courteous, quick and efficient without sacrificing response rates or high data quality. Experience working with the general public as well as having the ability to work with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds is essential. Access to reliable transportation and a flexible schedule that includes work during the evenings and on weekends is a must. Other skills crucial to success are timeliness, organization, attention to detail, and persuasiveness.
