Job Description Work on projects as project manager assisting supervisors with transportation planning projects for new developments, planning studies for roadway improvements, regional transportation planning, and design of transportation improvement and traffic control device design. Includes budgeting, scheduling, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines, and communicating with supervisors and clients. Work in planning performance of traffic analyzes, including travel demand forecasting, signal operations analysis, levels of service, channelization warrants, traffic control device warrants, conceptual design, parking studies, and facility planning as well as conceptual design for all modes of transportation including streets, roads and highways, pedestrians, bicycles, and bus transit. Assists with the design of plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E’s) for roadway improvement projects. Works in business development in preparing proposals for various projects in transportation planning.
Candidate Specification Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or related field.

Experience: 2 years or related experience.
Special Requirements: Experience with field work, traffic operations analysis, civil design, transportation planning, and travel demand modeling. Must also have experience with technical writing including public documents and reports.
