Transportation Analyst / Planner The primary purpose of this position is to create a transportation plan and execution of that plan to ensure delivery of products to Farmland customers on time and at the least cost to Farmland Foods. This position requires knowledge of U.S. geography and transportation costing. It also requires a knowledge of Hours of Service Rules as it relates to the legal driving time of drivers.

Job Requirements: 2 year college degree is required. A degree in transportation / logistics is preferred or a business degree and 2-years experience in the transportation field, preferably in the refrigerated segment. Knowledge of the transportation industry, transportation rate structures and current trends. Knowledge of meat industry desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet software, the Internet, copiers, fax, calculator etc. Strong leadership; oral and written language skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
