Put some real experience on your resume. Our busy advocacy programs staff is
seeking intern assistance from students who are interested in careers in
law, urban planning or policy development. Our Advocacy Programs Intern
will assist our advocacy staff on policy and community outreach projects
benefiting suburban Chicago.
Potential projects could include:
. Field work for bicycling, walking and transit projects in the
suburbs;
. Research for new municipal ordinances;
. Monitoring community media and public notices for relevant
projects; and
. Urban planning research.
Candidates should possess excellent writing, communications, time-management
and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required and familiarity with common legal
databases (Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw) or urban planning (GIS) software is
desired.
This internship is for spring semester and is primarily onsite at our office
in downtown Chicago.
A small stipend and reimbursement for travel may be available.
