Access Living Manager- Community Supports
Access Living seeks a full-time employee to serve as a Manager – Community Supports. The Coordinator will be responsible for introducing minimally 100 individuals with disabilities to personal empowerment. Specific duties include:
? Ensures all grant deliverables for team are met.
? Ensures direct reports meet job requirements, appropriately handles all disciplinary problems and issues of underperformance.
? Ensures that an annual job performance appraisal is conducted for each supervised staff on a timely basis.
? Responsible for the development and implementation of outcome based measurement tools.
? Monitors actual spending to ensure costs are within budget.
Qualified candidates should have a majority of the following qualifications:
? Experience (personal or professional) working with people with disabilities (as peers);
? Analytical, problem solving, networking, and knowledge of skill-building techniques;
? Strong written and oral communication skills so to connect with a wide range of individuals and organizations;
? An understanding of equal opportunity within a social justice framework;
? Knowledge of disability civil rights laws (ADA, 504, and IDEA), and familiarity with the disability rights movement and/or independent living movement is preferred but not required.
