The Manager Role
The Manager, ULI Tampa Bay, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Community Outreach, will be responsible for the day to day management of ULI Tampa Bay’s programming, operations and membership initiatives. This specifically includes member management/support, event planning, and communications. The Manager will work closely with the Chair, volunteers, and other committee members. In addition to Tampa Bay, overall responsibility will include executing programs in collaboration with District Councils in Central Florida, North Florida, Southeast Florida and Southwest Florida.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have five years of related experience, a passion for urban planning and possess excellent communications and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, urban planning or business, communications/marketing or related degree. An advanced degree in business or real estate is desirable. Interest in local real estate market dynamics and land-use a plus.
- Five years of related experience. Prior experience in events management required. Equivalent experience in association management and fundraising a plus.
- Ability to manage, motivate and communicate clearly with volunteers, task forces and committees.
- Self-motivated, demonstrating meticulous attention to both detail and deadlines.
- Professional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to work with senior business and public sector executives.
- Demonstrated ability to: initiate tasks; assume responsibility; work with minimal supervision in a high production position; prioritize tasks; handle multiple tasks concurrently and completely - with responsible follow-through; meticulous attention to detail.
- Fluent/proficient computer skills and strong aptitude with computer software for applications in word processing, spreadsheets, website and managing document flow.
- Experience and knowledge of social media and media relations.
- Adaptability and ability to provide courteous customer service.
- Ability to travel to ULI events (in the early morning or evening) throughout the region.
