Journey's End Refugee Services (JERS) has been serving the WNY community for 39 years providing essential services for the immigrant and refugee population. The programs offered at JERS make up a staggering list of wraparound supports to ensure clients can succeed in their new community 

 

Community Outreach VISTA : The VISTA will support Journey's End Refugee Services' mission to help refugees by assisting the Community Outreach Department. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, coordinating in-kind donations, building community partnerships, and providing team support. The VISTA will work closely with the Community Outreach Coordinator to help build capacity for the program to help expand their reach in the Western New York Community. 

 

Language Access VISTA: The Language Access VISTA will support the Interpreting Department by implementing new scheduling software, improving Journey’s End’s language access plan, assisting with educational curriculum development, and collecting client feedback surveys. This role will help ensure that Journey's End clients receive high-quality language access services to meet their health and other needs.

Development Coordinator - Latino Policy Forum

Position Summary

The Forum is expanding its development department. Grants Manager - Metropolitan Planning Council

Position Summary:

The Grants Manager is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals and reports that support MPC’s revenue goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria. The Grants Manager serves as a grant writer, manages funder relationships and expectations, engages in compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives. The Grants Manager will work closely with the program team to create proposals and other funding opportunities. The position is responsible for supporting efforts that meet or exceed the fundraising goals established by the Director of Development and the Vice President of Philanthropy & Communications of MPC.

Marketing and Development Coordinator - Austin Coming Together

Position Description

The Marketing & Development Coordinator is responsible for completing a broad variety of marketing and development functions in conjunction with the Director of Marketing & Development. Development Director, Development - Metropolitan Planning Council

Compensation and Benefits:  

The Salary range for this position is $97,850.00 - $118,450.00

 
For the 2023 Benefit year, Metropolitan Planning Council’s robust and competitive compensation package for new full-time employees includes covering approximately 80% of the employee premium for health benefits, 100% of the employee premium for dental benefits, and Disability and Life insurance.  Additionally, MPC provides all full-time employees with a hybrid work environment, parental leave, up to five weeks of accrued vacation, transit benefits, a professional development stipend, and access to an onsite fitness center.

Essential Functions

The Engagement Manager (EM) helps to create and execute an annual, comprehensive plan for Illinois donor engagement. S/he will work collaboratively with the development team to meet event, donor discovery, stewardship and engagement goals and metrics as set by the ADoDE. The EM may have substantial contact with trustees, staff, donors, legal, financial professionals, and vendors. Manager of Corporate Partnerships 
Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) seeks an experienced professional to expand corporate fundraising partnerships and individual giving.

In order for MPC to achieve its top priorities, MPC must continue to expand its operating budget. Which has grown substantially from $3.828 million in 2017. Historically, the organization’s funding has been comprised of 40% foundation, 40% corporate, and the remaining from individuals, investment income and the occasional modest public sector grant. MPC has expanded its resource base by 17% and 15% respectively over the last two years. In order to sustain this growth, MPC is adding a staff person dedicated to individual and corporate giving.

A successful candidate will be highly organized, personable, able to work collaboratively but also independently, adept at juggling multiple deadlines, able to be externally facing, and possess excellent written communication and project management skills. The position will report to the Vice President of Philanthropy and will work in close partnership with the Development Team and President.

Manager of Finance and Administration 

The Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) seeks an experienced professional to execute key financial and administrative responsibilities for the organization. Reporting to the Director of Operations and Strategy, the Manager of Finance and Administration will ensure smooth operation of the office, compliance with financial policies and accurate maintenance of financial and administrative records. MPC will consider both full-time and part-time candidates for this opening. 

The Manager of Finance and Administration is a new role at MPC.
