Visiting Undergrad. Program Dev. Specialist, UIC - Chicago

The University of Illinois at Chicago seeks a Visiting Undergraduate Program Development Specialist to help design, implement, manage, and evaluate a variety of undergraduate programs. The candidate will also manage existing programs (such as the Undergraduate Research Experience, www.ure.uic.edu <http://www.ure.uic.edu>). The position will report to the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs (VPUA), the unit on campus that coordinates initiatives to improve student success, including those identified in the campus-wide Student Success Planning Project (www.studentsuccess.uic.edu<http://www.studentsuccess.uic.edu>).

The candidate must have excellent research and writing skills, and must be able to summarize academic literature. The candidate must also have excellent verbal communication skills enabling him or her to represent the Vice Provost to internal and external constituencies.

Master’s Degree required; PhD preferred. Salary range is $45,000-65,000, commensurate with experience. Experience related to university education preferred, along with experience, expertise and/or interest in issues related to undergraduate education.
