*Assistant Professor in Public Administration*

The Department of Political Studies and Public Administration (PSPA) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of public administration and management to begin September 1, 2013.

We welcome qualified applicants who possess a PhD in public administration, public management, or closely related field (public affairs, civil society, public policy, political science, sociology or anthropology). Teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration, public management, non-profit organizations and civic engagement, as well as upper level courses in their field, is expected. An excellent research and teaching record is also desirable. Research agendas relevant to the Middle East and Lebanon are a plus. As AUB is a culturally diverse institution, candidates must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be prepared to contribute to the mentoring of MA thesis projects.
