Research Assistant at GCI, CUPPA, UIC - Chicago

Title:  Research Assistant -GCIPN
 Close Date:  11/20/2012

 Description:
 The Great Cities Institute, a unit at the College of Urban Planning and
Public Affairs at UIC seeks a Research Assistant to work 16 hours a week
(40% time) to assist its communications efforts regarding events,
programs, and other activities.

 Duties:
 Maintain and update Great Cities Institute website.
 Maintain and update GCI list serves.
 Draft, format, edit, and send out GCI communications to various audiences.
 Assist in event planning for GCI speaker series’.
 Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:
 Must be a full-time graduate student in good standing, preferably major
in Urban Planning or Public Administration. Experience with MS Word,
Excel and database skills; experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and
InDesign Adobe programs. Website development skills a plus. Attention to
detail, high level of accuracy, and ability to complete tasks of varied
priority levels in timely manner required. Excellent writing skills
required.
