Planner III, 75% Time - City of Roehnert Park, CA


The City of Rohnert Park is recruiting for a Planner III in Development Services. Paid Hourly: $36.03 - $43.80/hour with 75% fringe benefits. This position works 30 hpw - reduced to 28.5 through 06-30-13.
The ideal candidate will perform current and advance planning work, including research and policy analysis, preparation of studies, implementation of grants, and formulation of recommendations; prepares well organized technical reports, reviews CEQA documents, prepares reports on land use, zoning, urban design, population trends, community needs, housing, and participates in the processing of various plans and applications for complex and specialized projects, provides assistance at the public counter and to project stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
This position requires five years progressively responsible experience in government planning. Experience in CEQA, and California planning laws relating to subdivisions, annexations, zoning, land use and applicable federal law. Urban Planning or closely related Bachelor's Degree required. A Master's Degree and AICP certification preferred.
