Tetra Tech EM Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, is
currently seeking an Emergency Management Planner for
our Chicago, Illinois office.
The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for
supporting the development of local, state, and regional
emergency response and recovery plans, as well as
developing HSEEP compliance training and exercise
programs. Activities may include hazard identification
and risk assessment, research of best management
practices, drafting of plans and procedures, training on
the use of the National Incident Management System,
exercise design and control, facilitation of stakeholder
meetings, collecting and analyzing data, and response
plan development to describe concepts of operations,
mutual aid, regional coordination, emergency public
information, resource management and logistics.

Job Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 5 years' of experience in
emergency management or public safety with documented
success serving in an emergency planning capacity. Must
be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in
a team environment. Must be able to be a self-starter
and solutions-orientated worker. Excellent communication
(both written and verbal) skills are essential. Must
have knowledge of national emergency management trends
and regional program initiatives. Certified Emergency
Manager credentials are preferred. DHS Homeland Security
Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) training is
required. B.S./Masters in Public Administration,
Emergency Management, Communications, Political Science,
or related discipline.
