COORDINATOR/MANAGER – URBAN DESIGN AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS

The Miami Downtown Development Authority is seeking a Manager/Coordinator of Urban Design and Capital Improvements.  Position shall manage the planning, research, program development, strategic implementation of downtown-focused urban planning, land use, transportation, and environmental initiatives.  
Assists in the implementation of the Downtown Miami Master Plan, planning studies, programs, and projects, including the DDRI, urban planning initiatives, zoning policy analysis, program implementation and research of best practices.  Manages planning, land use, design and transportation consultants.  Acts as project manager with Downtown stakeholders, private businesses, government agency representatives, civic/non-profit organizations, and residents to identify, prioritize, and implement projects addressing priority community concerns.  Liaison to other technical-advisory agencies.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Planning or related fields; and up to five years progressively responsible experience.  Master’s degree highly desired, which may be substituted for experience.   Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner.   Word, Excel, Illustrator, GIS, AutoCAD and PowerPoint experience, highly desired.  Competitive salary (DOQ) and excellent benefits package.
