The City of Pasadena is looking for an experienced, solution-oriented Planner (Environmental Review) to join the Zoning Administration Section of the Planning and Community Development Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Reviews and coordinates public and private proposals to ensure compliance with City, County, State, and Federal regulations governing environmental review, including noticing, reports, and technical documentation.
· Coordinates inter-agency project reviews, prepares and/or supervises the preparation of related documents such as Negative Declarations, Notices of Exemption and Environmental Impact Reports on large projects.
· Presents findings to City Commissions, City Council and the public, as required.
· May direct and advise other professional staff members in environmental review and project management.

Bachelor's degree in planning, architecture, geography, public administration, or a closely related field and two years of experience equivalent to that of an Associate Planner with the City of Pasadena.

SELECTION PROCESS

There is currently one Planner (Environmental Review) vacancy in the Planning and Community Development Department. As a result of this selection process, an eligible list of candidates will be established which will be used to fill this vacancy and other similar vacancies in the future.
