We are currently seeking a junior-level Transportation Planner / GIS Analyst candidate for the Transportation-Infrastructure Practice in the Atlanta, GA or Savannah, GA office. This position will be responsible for providing support to a broad range of planning projects including transportation and corridor studies, land use plans, comprehensive plans, and transit/bicycle/pedestrian plans. Data development, GIS based analysis, map preparation, and development of reports and other materials will be key functions of this position.
In addition, responsibilities will include data collection and analysis, research and documentation, and assistance with production of project deliverables, reports, and support of proposal efforts. The successful candidate will also manage different data sources including geodatabases, shapefiles, CAD, and external databases. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and the ability to function within a team environment.
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Civil Engineering or other related degree, from an accredited university. Master's degree preferred. 1-3 years' work experience desired.
•Technical and policy oriented planning skills
•Strong research and report writing skills
•Strong GIS expertise, using ESRI GIS software, preferably on transportation projects
•Strong computer skills, including the MS Office suite
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
