Assistant Director, Visiting Undergraduate Program Development Specialist, The University of Illinois at Chicago - Chicago, IL

The University of Illinois at Chicago seeks a Visiting Undergraduate Program Development Specialist to serve as the Assistant Director for a vibrant new organization, the Chicago Collaborative for Undergraduate Success (http://collaborative.uic.edu), which is administratively housed within the UIC Honors College. The successful candidate will interact with the internal team and representatives from many universities, community organizations, and non-profit foundations to help coordinate initiatives to improve undergraduate success across the city of Chicago. The position will report to the Executive Director of the Collaborative.

Duties:
The candidate must be highly organized, have excellent research and writing skills, and must be able to summarize academic literature, draft reports, and write successful grant applications. The candidate must also have excellent verbal communication skills enabling him or her to represent the Director and Executive Director to internal and external constituencies.  

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree required; PhD preferred. Salary range is $50,000-65,000, commensurate with experience. Experience related to higher education preferred, along with experience, expertise and/or interest in issues related to undergraduate education.
