The Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) is seeking an experienced individual to join our Economic Development Division (EDD).  The EDD is responsible for strategic planning and analysis as well as program and project implementation for economic development initiatives and activities in the City of Los Angeles.  The expansion of EWDD’s mission to incorporate Real Estate and Asset Management is relatively new and the Principal Project Coordinator will be the Division’s first position solely focused on these activities.
The Principal Project Coordinator position will assist in initiating and setting guidelines and precedents for a major function of EDD’s operation as a real property manager and developer.  This position will be responsible for coordinating the evaluation of City-owned properties and facilities for economic development purposes.
The Principal Project Coordinator will participate and lead endeavors to create temporary and/or permanent use opportunities that enhance existing public property by stimulating support for local economies and meeting public benefit goals.
Administrative duties include assisting with the development, review and update of internal policies and procedures for property analysis and disposition and supervision of staff and consultants.
