Bike East Bay, a bicycle advocacy nonprofit, is hiring an Advocacy fellow. The Advocacy Fellow will gain firsthand community organizing experience expanding our advocacy capacity via organizing and coordinating local bicycle advocacy efforts in several cities throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Specific responsibilities include supporting Local Working Group’s campaigns, helping set up demo projects for Bike to Work Day, organizing rides for elected officials and getting cities to do Bike to Work Day proclamations, and building a campaign base for our upcoming Measure J campaign in Contra Costa. Specific tasks include meeting regularly with local organizations, organizing events and recruiting volunteers, involving our local working groups in Bike to Work Day and more.
