estate, economic development and energy efficiency consulting firm. We

mixed-use, neighborhood, downtown, campus, and regional development
projects across North America and abroad for clients in the public,
private, and non-profit sectors.  Whether we are exploring the hidden
potential of an abandoned industrial waterfront, developing a financing
strategy for energy efficient retrofits for a commercial building owner,
or illustrating the economic benefits of parks and open space
development, HR&A creates value by providing innovative and creative
solutions to the complex challenges of economic development and real
estate in urban environments.

Position Description | We are seeking candidates for Analyst positions
for both our New York and Washington DC offices. HR&A's Analyst
positions include entry-level Research Analysts, Analysts, and Senior
Analysts.

Research Analysts and Analysts are the foundation of HR&A's
team-oriented, collaborative structure. Tasks may include real estate
market analysis; case study research; strategic planning; preparation of
real estate pro formas for a range of uses and public-private
structures; economic and financial analysis; and public policy analysis.
Analysts and Research Analysts also help prepare marketing materials,
proposals, and client deliverables in the form of written reports,
memos, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel models.


Mid-level Senior Analysts are responsible for the tasks above, and have
responsibility for daily project management. Senior Analysts
substantially contribute to the content of deliverables, and ensure that
the tools and methodologies utilized in the performance of the work are
effective and successful. They are responsible for ensuring that the
quality of work meets standards, and assist in planning work efforts and
monitoring project budgets.

Experience Required | Successful candidates will possess strong skills
in both quantitative and qualitative analysis and a passion for real
estate, urban development and policy.  They must possess excellent
written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with PowerPoint,
Excel, and Word; and the ability to manage multiple assignments at once.
Furthermore, candidates should be highly motivated independent thinkers
who are detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and sufficiently poised for
client interaction. The most successful candidates will show a capacity
for leadership, the ability to think critically and creatively, and
potential for professional growth. Specific experience required for each
position is as follows:

Research Analyst: Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree with a
focus on economics, urban planning, business, public policy, real
estate, or other closely related field. Research Analysts typically have
up to two years of relevant prior work experience.

Analyst: Candidates should have a Master's Degree plus at least one-year
of relevant full-time work experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with at
least two years of relevant full-time experience.

Senior Analyst: Candidates should have at least four years of work
experience in a relevant field and a Master's Degree.   However,
considerable experience in a closely-related field may also be
substituted for a graduate degree.

Salary | Competitive, based on qualifications and experience.  HR&A
