Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: Associate Director & Chief Financial Officer

“La Casa Norte’s mission is to serve youth and families confronting homelessness. We provide access to stable housing and deliver
comprehensive services that act as a catalyst to transform lives and communities.” La Casa Norte’s mission and philosophy of service
is to impact the social issues of homelessness at the individual and community levels.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm. Eligible applicants
must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

Expected Goals and Objectives

Goal One: Facilities Management
§ Provides oversight to all maintenance of facilities and equipment.
§ Conducts periodic building inspections.
§ Helps prepare physical inventories and follow-through of proper inventory functions.
§ Orders and distributes supplies and equipment to buildings.
§ Prepare a preventative maintenance plan and support the creation of an overall
replacement/repair structure for all physical facilities and programs.

Goal Two: Operations Management
§ Oversees general office and administrative operations.
§ Manages administrative work processes and recommends efficiency improvements.
§ Supervises administrative staff as required.

Goal Three: Human Resources
§ Manages basic HR functions, including all aspects of compensation and benefits for staff.

§ Implements personnel policies, and maintains and updates personnel policy and procedure manuals and

Goal Four: Vendor Management & Information Technology
§ Administer and manages contracts with external vendors to execute ongoing maintenance.
§ Purchases and controls supplies, equipment, and other agency assets.
§ Oversees technology, hardware and software vendor relations, contracts, purchases, and services .

Goal Five: Other Administrative Tasks
§ Completes various aspects of property management duties associated with our external landlord relationships
and scattered site housing needs
§ Performs complex and confidential executive administrative functions including drafting, editing and/or
proofreading a variety of documents including: correspondence, presentations, payment requests and other
business related forms and documents; ensures documents meet established content and brand standards.

Schedules, organizes and assists with activities such as appointments, meetings, conferences and other
organizational activities including Board meetings, committee meetings and select special events.
Assists with the design, preparation, production and distribution of a variety of organizational business forms
and documents
Develop organizational protocols and policies for emergency situations during the day and after hours.
Maintenance of Timesheet, training logs and Paid Time Off Logs.

Title: Casa Corazon Drop-in Program Coordinator
Reports To: Program Manager

services that act as a catalyst to transform lives and communities.” La Casa Norte’s mission and philosophy of service is to impact
the social issues of homelessness at the individual and community levels.

Casa Corazón is aimed at transforming the lives of homeless and at-risk youth, ages 16-24, by providing them with the
stability, support, and guidance they need in order to become thriving members of society. Program participants will
receive street outreach and access to a variety of services including a drop in center with youth programming and meals,
basic needs such as transportation and toiletries, and case management services focusing on a holistic, strength-based
approach, with a focus on housing stability and educational, job readiness and placement.

This opening is responsible for both Casa Corazon locations in the Back of the Yards and Humboldt Park communities
and requires supervision of both sites. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 11am-8pm. Eligible
applicants must be available to work evenings.

Expected Goals and Objectives

Goal One: To provide comprehensive advocacy and drop-in services to homeless youth ages 16-24

Maintain professional relationships with all staff and clients
Support coverage and coordinate activities as necessary during drop in hours.
Assist Director of Youth Programs in the management of appropriate program development and effective
service delivery.
§ Partner with participants to assess all barriers to safe, stable, and housing and provide referrals and access.
§ Provide life skills training, counseling, support, and guidance to youth as they work to overcome barriers to
housing, employment and education.
§ Take advantage of key “teachable moments” to help youth develop skills in decision-making, conflict
resolution, time management, etc.
§ Provide effective case management services to program participants utilizing a “strength-based” case
management model and monitoring participants progress through modeling, mentoring and positive
relationship building
§ Refer youth to other supportive services as needed, including food pantries, clothing closets, legal aid services,
parenting classes, substance abuse and mental health counseling, etc; coordinating these services as needed to
obtain wrap-around supportive services for clients.
§ Advocate for clients as needed to shelters, landlords, employers, and other agencies or institutions.
§ Provide crisis intervention services to Casa Corazon youth as necessary
§ Plan a monthly schedule for events, activities, program staffing and food menu.

This position has the possibility of being located in the west neighborhood of Humboldt Park and/or the southern
neighborhood of Back in the Yards.
Expected Goals and Objectives

youth
 Experience or willingness to work in outcomes-based case management.
