Director of Resource Development, Casa Central - Chicago


Casa Central is the largest Hispanic social service agency in Chicago with a mission to build a strong community, one family at a time, across all life stages and generations. With a strong emphasis on quality, the organization seeks to provide the most sought after, cutting-edge services to the community.  Casa Central was founded in 1954 and has grown into a model agency with more than 450 staff members and a $16 million budget. 

Casa Central is currently seeking a new Director of ResourcDevelopment.  The Director of Resource Development is responsible for developing and administering a comprehensive development program designed to maximize fundraising, with an overall goal to diversify funding and lessen dependence on government funds.  Working with the President, the Director of Resource Development will strengthen individual giving while maintaining strong corporate, foundation and annual giving programs and special events.  Additionally, s/he will oversee all aspects of Casa Centrals marketing and communications efforts and work closely with the Boards Resource Development Committee.

The Director of Resource Development reports directly to Ann Alvarez, President and CEO, and manages a team of six.  Peers include the Vice President of Programs and Operations, Director of Human Resources and the Chief Financial Officer.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five to seven years experience in a similarly complex organization and strong strategic thinking skills.  S/he must have experience leading a development function in addition to strong communications and marketing skills.  S/he must be committed to the values and mission of Casa Central.  Bilingual or Bicultural in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.  A bachelors degree is required; an advanced degree and/or CFRE would be preferred.
