Public Management Fellowship in Colombia

The  USAID Research and Innovation Fellowships http://www.usaid.gov/rifellowships program is seeking potential fellows interested in international development-related research opportunities in Public Management and Human Capital Management in Colombia, hosted by the Alberto Lleras Camargo School of Government at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota. The fellow will join an interdisciplinary research team dedicated to propose new guidelines to reform the human capital management policy in Colombia´s public sector. As part of the fellowship, we expect the fellow (ideally a PhD student or candidate) to have a knowledge of public affairs concepts and issues at Ph.D. level, as well as strong quantitative and qualitative analyses skills. The fellow will have the opportunity to pursue empirical research on public management that may contribute to her/his doctoral project. Furthermore, the fellow will also have several opportunities to interact with high level Colombian public sector practitioners and scholars, and to learn, in situ, about public affairs in a developing country.
