Job Description: They are seeking to hire a Transportation Planner for their regional office in the Chicago-land area. This person will be an essential part of the client s asset-based business unit. The main responsibilities include: Supervision of all local drivers in their assigned area. Matching all loads for the trucks entering their geographical areas of responsibility. Coordinating with Driver Managers and drivers to insure all loads are handled with maximize efficiency
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate is a professional with excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills. Prior experience in a high call volume atmosphere is required Strong geographical knowledge of the United States is a must. Experience in the transportation/trucking industry is required. Knowledge of AS400 IT systems, Microsoft Office and related tools are all preferred. A four year degree is preferred.
