Gensler San Francisco is seeking an experienced urban designer with international design experience to collaborate on urban design projects - from concept through presentation – for a growing, diverse client base. In this position, you will join a highly creative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate on urban design projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and management of budgets and schedules
* Manage presentations and production of master planning/urban design projects
* Manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
* Act as a team leader and coordinate work, review designs, and mentor team members as necessary
* Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of related urban design experience, including experience with international master planning and urban design projects
* Proven background in creative collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, from concept through presentation
* Strong knowledge of urban planning zoning and technical issues
* Outstanding graphic presentation skills
* Experience with 3-D building massing conceptualization
* Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch Up and 3-D Studio Max preferred
* Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
* Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
* Bachelor’s degree, plus Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design or equivalent
