Graduate Hourly Position - The Health Policy Center
The Health Policy Center within the Institute for Health Research and Policy
at UIC has a graduate hourly position available on the Bridging the Gap –
Community Obesity Measures Project. BTG-COMP is a national, multi-year study
of community food and physical activity environments. This position is
available starting in May and will continue through the summer at 30-40
hours per week with potential for renewal during the 2011-2012 academic
year, depending on performance and project needs.
*Responsibilities include:*
- Conducting telephone surveys with local park and recreation
departments
- Reviewing and tracking completed data collection forms and materials
from 161 community sites around the U.S.
- Scanning and editing community data using Teleform software
- Conducting internet research
- Performing various other data processing tasks as assigned

*Key Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Advanced organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with data collection, processing, and/or entry,
administering telephone surveys, and/or experience working on a large
university study preferred
