INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

VILLAGE OF BURR RIDGE
COMMUNITY DEVELOP0MENT DEPARTMENT


The Village of Burr Ridge seeks an intern for its Community Development
Department. The primary responsibility of this position will be to serve as the
Village’s Code Compliance Officer conducting enforcement of the Village’s zoning,
property maintenance, and private property nuisance codes. The intern may assist
with other planning and zoning activities as time permits.

Minimum requirements shall include a Bachelor Degree and current enrollment in a
Master Degree program with an accredited University in Public Administration,
Urban Planning, or a field related to the services provided by the Department of
Community Development; ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s
license; and desktop computer skills. Preferred candidates will be able to commit
to two years of service. A starting salary of $14.00 per hour may be expected.
Work schedule is flexible but an average of 20 hours per week between the hours
of 8 AM to 5 PM, Mondays through Fridays is desired.
