Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc. (FHI) is seeking a full-time position for a Graphic and Web Designer based out of our Manhattan, New York location. FHI is a firm of innovative, multidisciplinary and environmentally conscious planners, engineers, and scientists dedicated to improving the overall quality of communities. Visual communication is integral to our work and we believe in the importance of well-crafted graphics to positively impact the viewer and clearly communicate project ideas. Our visual communications services include graphic design, concept design, renderings, site planning, print communications, digital communications, presentations, interpretative design, display collateral, project branding, storytelling, cartography, and ADA compliant design.
Position Overview: The full-time position for a Graphic and Web Designer will be based out of our Manhattan, New York location. Located in the Financial District, our office is easily accessible by public transportation and an exciting place to work.

Responsibilities: 
• Developing creative, compelling materials for both web and print production (This includes, but is not limited to, banners, flyers, logos and branding, marketing collateral, advertisements, website development, e-blasts.) 
• Develop and maintain visually pleasing, interactive websites 
• Formatting and branding of proposals, reports and brochures 
• Assisting Marketing Department with the firm’s overall marketing strategy, including design and branding decisions 
• Ensuring printed marketing collateral is up-to-date and readily available 
• Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends
Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, marketing, communications, or a related field 
• 1-3 years of overall professional experience 
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite 
• Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint 
• Coding proficiency in HTML, CSS & JavaScript. 
• Strong written and verbal communication capability 
• Ability to collaborate with others in team project situations
• Knowledge of UX design 
• Ability to code responsive and mobile design 
• Permanent US work authorization  
Preferred Skills + Certifications: 
• Interest in the field of urban and transportation planning and/or public involvement 
• Ability to code interactive web elements (i.e. virtual meetings, interactive timeline or map) 
• XHTML and CSS3 
• PHP coding experience 
• Valid driver’s license Salary commensurate with level of experience.
