LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc., a well-established transportation planning firm, is seeking to fill a Transit Planner position for our offices in both Tahoe City, California and Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Minimum requirements are a BA or BS in planning, management, or related field, strong writing skills and a proven ability to work independently. Persons with higher qualifications (Masters degree, AICP, experience in transit) will also be given due consideration.
The position provides an opportunity to live and work in the beautiful Lake Tahoe region or Colorado Springs region, with extensive recreational opportunities and convenient access to urban amenities.  Work includes preparation of short-range and long-range transit plans, evaluation of land use and census data, and transit facility planning for rural and small urban transit systems, primarily around the West.  Flexible working conditions, full benefits, and competitive salary, depending upon qualifications.
The successful candidate must be able to think creatively and have strong writing and analysis/spreadsheet skills commensurate with their level of experience.  Competitive salary DOQ and excellent benefits, with flexible work environment.
