The Colorado Center for Sustainable Urbanism (CCSU) at the University of Colorado Denver is looking for a full-time Executive Director to start September 1, 2015. The Director will be hired under the title Research Assistant Professor. The CCSU just received a major gift from the Gates Family Foundation to support this position and ongoing center operations.
The job ad can be found at http://www.jobsatcu.com:80/postings/97520. The deadline for full consideration is May 15, 2015. This nine-month position pays $80,000/year with full university benefits and the ability to earn additional salary in the summer months, as well as the potential to teach a course in the Master of Urban and Regional Planning program
The Department of Planning and Design is taking the lead on relaunching the CCSU as a hub for creative problem solving to help cities and towns become more vibrant, livable, sustainable, and equitable places. The CCSU will reinforce the department’s primary objectives to help create healthy communities, revitalized cities and towns, and resilient regions.

The CCSU will focus its work primarily on the state of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West, but will be a resource for innovative sustainability strategies that can be shared with the larger community of practitioners across the globe. Our location in the heart of the Mile High City, just blocks from the seats of local, regional and state governments and some of the country's largest organizations and corporations, will help the CCSU achieve its critical mission.

Please take a look around our new CCSU website to learn more about the center and the position.
