CUNY’s School of Professional Studies (SPS), established in 2003, offers innovative undergraduate and graduate level courses, certificates and degree programs, including CUNY’s first Online Baccalaureate and Master Degree programs. SPS also offers Master Degree Programs in Applied Theatre, Labor Studies and Disability Studies. Drawing on CUNY’s nationally and internationally renowned faculty and practitioners, SPS offers programs in a wide range of disciplines. SPS is home to the Joseph S. Murphy Institute for Worker Education and Labor Studies and the Off Campus College. Each offers programs that provide educational opportunities to help working New Yorkers meet their career advancement and personal growth needs. SPS’s industry and educational partners include the CUNY Creative Arts Team, CUNY’s John F. Kennedy, Jr. Institute for Worker Education, The School of Public Affairs at Baruch College, the American Museum of Natural History, the Lincoln Center Institute for Arts in Education, and a number of City agencies including the Office of Emergency Management, the Human Resources Administration, and the New York City Housing Authority. The programs offered through SPS represent partnerships with public and private agencies, corporate entities, unions, and diverse faculty from across the University.
The Procedures Manager supports a learning and development program for employees of the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE). OCSE is responsible for helping parents who live with their children to obtain financial support from non-custodial parents. The goal of the learning program is to ensure that OCSE’s 800+ staff and vendors are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out this mission and improve the well-being of children.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Director, the Policy and Procedures Manager will:
* Lead a team of policy and procedure writers to document business processes and develop detailed procedures to improve agency operations and support employee development.
* Use knowledge of operations and business process analysis to establish standards for technical writing and documentation.
* Review drafts of documentation and make recommendations for improvement.
* Oversee systems to manage content across multiple functional areas efficiently and effectively.
* Ensure that agency-wide standards are applied to all documents.
* Use project management techniques to ensure that deliverables are produced on time, within budget, and to specified scope.
* Work collaboratively with curriculum developers and trainers to ensure that policies and procedures are properly and fully integrated into training materials.
* Other duties as assigned.
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
