Office of Executive Inspector General
for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor

The office of Executive Inspector General for the State of Illinois currently has openings for one or more interns:

The OEIG is charged with investigating violations of laws, rules and/or regulations in the agencies, boards and commissions responsible to the Governor. Accordingly, the purpose of the internship program is to provide undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to apply their education and classroom theory to actual workplace situations investigated by the OEIG and perform varied and meaningful tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the agency.

Internships are available year-round on a semester/quarter-length basis. Applicants should be ethical, organized, dependable, enthusiastic, and in good academic standing from an accredited college or university with a focus on criminal justice, public administration or other related discipline.

Please note, these are unpaid internships; however, they will offer an invaluable learning experience.
