Affordable Housing Analyst/Associate, Citi Community Capital - New York, NY

Analyst/Associate - Citi Community Capital Origination-13043060
Description

*Provide analytical support to New York City-based affordable
multifamily rental housing debt origination team.
*Assist originators in reviewing newly sourced transactions, including
modeling construction and operating budgets, analyzing project
feasibility and conducting analyses of borrower experience and financial
strength.
*Participate in the transaction approval process, including assembling
packages for risk management review and assembling the necessary credit
approval documentation.
*Work with originators to complete term sheets and applications for
client review and execution.
*Take an active role in the transaction execution process by
participating in transaction calls, developing distribution lists and
schedules and coordinating the loan underwriting and closing process
with other members of the business.
*Complete necessary internal transaction execution documentation.
*Assist in boarding new transactions and ensure that all appropriate
internal closing tasks are completed.
*Assist in the development of Citi Community Capital marketing and
presentation materials and help prepare materials in connection with
requests for proposals.
*Help originators manage relationships with Citi Community Capital
clients and prospects.
*Assist originators with ongoing transaction management duties including
construction draw requests, construction to permanent loan conversions,
loan modifications and extensions.
*Represent Citi Community Capital at external community development
events, conferences, and dinners.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

*Highly organized individual able to manage multiple assignments at once.
*Proven quantitative analysis and Excel spreadsheet modeling skills.
*Very strong oral and written communication skills.
*Demonstrated interest in the community development and multifamily
housing arena.
*Ability to work well with a team.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*Undergraduate or graduate degree with emphasis in real estate, business
and/or economics.
*A minimum of two years of work experience in the affordable rental
housing sector, preferably with a financial institution or a low income
housing tax credit syndicator.
