The Great Rivers Greenway District is a public organization developing an
interconnected system of greenways, parks and trails to make the region a
better place to live. These linear green spaces link neighborhoods and
communities, increase the economic vitality of the region, preserve nature,
provide transportation alternatives, and improve health. Great Rivers
Greenway includes St. Louis City and County and St. Charles County,
Missouri.

Great Rivers Greenway is seeking enthusiastic and passionate candidates to
join our team as a Project Manager to help us make the St. Louis region a
better place for generations to come.

This position is responsible for planning and managing the implementation
of Park and Greenway projects assigned by the Director of Planning.
 Managing District projects and District funds associated with those
projects, grant writing, and identifying potential project sites within the
District’s Master Plan is central to this role.  Planning, design and
construction of projects including land development and acquisition are the
main roles of this position.

Identifying and developing relationships with project sponsors,
consultants, local organizations and elected officials is an essential
function of this position.   The District’s Project Managers function as
the primary contact for citizens, funders, local municipalities, permitting
agencies and others on project-related matters.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

College degree in Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning,
Public Administration, Parks and Recreation, Construction Management or
related Field, plus five to seven (5 to 7) years of progressively
responsible experience related to the duties of the position.
Understanding of municipal or government processes in planning, design or
construction preferred.

Successful candidates will have familiarity and experience with planning
and executing a logical and effective course of implementation for a
long-range plan; public sector procurement and contracting procedures;
general business management, financial reporting, budgeting and other
fiscal procedures; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability
to establish and maintain effective working relationship; demonstrated
experience in community development, natural resource management,
construction, contract and project management; and working knowledge of
advanced project management software, computer work processing,
presentation and spreadsheet/database management applications (i.e.
Microsoft Office Suite—Word, Excel/Powerpoint/etc).
