The University of Illinois, Office of the Vice President for Health Affairs, located on the Chicago campus, seeks a Business Administrative Associate to provide high-level administrative support to the OVPHA using initiative, independent judgment and discretion concerning priorities with a high degree of specialization. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and processing key operational functions and supporting OVPHA professionals.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a field related to the position; Two years of managerial and/or business experience.
Strongly Desired Qualifications: Ability to exercise courtesy, tact, and diplomacy when receiving calls and answering questions from persons both inside and outside the University; thorough knowledge of general office operations and procedures to effectively contribute toward the success of operations and services administered by the department and ensure the accuracy of information provided to offices/persons seeking assistance from this office; advanced computer skills to proficiently perform assigned duties and responsibilities using Microsoft programs/applications including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer or other web browsers; excellent verbal and written communications skills to interact effectively with University and departmental officials/staff and other persons seeking assistance from OVPHA; ability to multi-task and prioritize work accordingly to meet stringent deadlines and respond to urgent matters while staying on task with other assigned duties.
