One scholarship from CN Railroad is available to a UPP student who will be conducting a thesis research or a project related to rail freight transport. The student should be graduating in May 2013 or August 2013 to qualify. It is desirable that the student has taken UPP560 and UPP561 but not required.
The scholarship will provide equivalent of 50% RA appointment for the Fall 2012 semester, and upon a satisfactory progress, Spring 2013 semester.
Interested students should e-mail a resume (with GPA indicated) and a short (less than 1 page) description of an idea for research or master's project to Professor Kawamura (kazuya@uic.edu) by 3pm on September 13, 2012. If you have questions, contact Professor Kawamura.
