Planner II: Peoria, IL, Tri-County Regional Planning Commission


PLANNER II
The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (TCRPC) has an opening for a Planner II.  Responsibilities include leading or assisting with integrated land use, transportation, and environmental planning and implementation projects with a strong emphasis on planning for sustainability.  Must be able to work in a team setting and on multiple projects simultaneously.
Candidates must have the ability to write clear and concise reports, be able to accurately follow oral and written instructions, demonstrate knowledge of research methods and analytical techniques, and possess good communication skills. Basic project management skills, including budgeting, are recommended.
A knowledge of computer applications in planning and geographic information systems is beneficial.
Prospective candidates must be a graduate of a college or university with a degree in urban or regional planning or related field, and have two years experience in the planning field.
Salary range is $35,070 to $55,662 dependent upon qualifications with an excellent fringe benefits package. Starting salary is up to midpoint, DOQ. TCRPC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  Qualified women, minorities, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
