Job Description – Development Coordinator
ICPR seeks a Development Coordinator to implement our plan for individual giving
and to organize several fund-raising events throughout the year.
ICPR is a non-partisan public interest group that conducts research and advocates
reforms to promote public participation in government, and address the role of
money in politics. Since 1997, ICPR has been Illinois' leading advocate in the areas
of government transparency and accountability, campaign finance reform, judicial
selection and voter education.
ICPR seeks a detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and qualified fundraiser to join our team.
As Development Coordinator, you will help build the resources needed to realize our
vision of a transparent Illinois government, an engaged and informed public,
legislative and executive branches that are accountable to the public, and a fair and
honest court system.
The Development Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and is
responsible for implementing the strategic fundraising plan for individuals including
prospect research, cultivation, and solicitation.
Job Responsibilities
• Implement the annual fundraising plan in partnership with the Executive
Director
• Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to establish
and achieve fundraising goals that reflect an aggressive strategic growth
strategy
• Coordinate all day-to-day development activities, including tactic
implementation related to goals and objectives, budget management, data
management, prospect research and relationship management, and gift
acknowledgement
• Organize Spring Luncheon and Fall Fundraiser events in coordination with
ICPR’s Development Committee
• Plan intimate events with potential large donors
• Develop new and innovative events to cultivate and solicit new donors
• Develop and execute personal solicitation of entry-level gifts
• Maintain the donor and volunteer database of contact lists, gift amounts,
calendars, etc. to develop targeted campaign strategies
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Three years of experience in fund development and event planning, with at
least one-year experience in a non-for-profit organization
• Knowledge of event planning and volunteer management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High-energy, motivated, enthusiastic and detail-oriented personality
• Ability to thrive in a team environment, showing flexibility, willingness to take
direction and the enthusiasm to take initiative
• Friendly, charismatic nature, able to build relationships by responding to
donors
• Proficient in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications;
experience with Gift Works or similar fundraising databases a plus
Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time position paying $30,000 per year plus a cafeteria benefits package.
