The Institute for Housing Studies is a research center that provides data and analysis to inform housing-related policy and resource allocation decisions. Created in 2007 as a partner to the Preservation Compact, a rental housing strategy for Cook County, the Institute for Housing Studies (IHS) has produced a number of data products, including rent, vacancy, and repeat sales price indices to identify changes in the rental housing market in Cook County. IHS offers technical assistance to affordable housing stakeholders and community-based organizations and makes its data available through published reports and the IHS website. The Research and Policy Analyst will perform research and policy analysis to support the Institute for Housing Studies. This position will require some prior housing and/or data-related experience. The position will be responsible for conducting extensive tracking, summarizing and reporting on a broad range of housing data, from the individual property level to highly aggregated levels. It will also involve working with housing stakeholders to complete technical assistance requests. Additionally, the Research and Policy Analyst will assist with some program related functions. | ||||||||||||||||||||
