Energy Policy Institute
The Energy Policy Institute (EPI) at Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of temporary Research Assistant/Associate Professor (RAP), depending on experience, to become a part of our team to continue our quest toward becoming a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. The RAP will contribute to research on all types of energy (e.g. renewable, nuclear, fossil), and the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with researchers from other universities and national laboratories. EPI has secured over $4 million in external grants and is at the forefront of research on electricity transmission and energy infrastructure siting. Recent funders include the US Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, and the Western Governors' Association.
You will have the opportunity to:
* design and carry out research
* write applied research reports and peer-reviewed publications
* participate in grant proposals to federal, state, industry, and non-profit funding organizations
* work in a dynamic environment with other energy research professionals and faculty

At a minimum you should have:
PhD in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or Environmental studies or equivalent degree or experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
A record of publications and be well-versed in research methods and policy analysis
Salary and benefits: Salary is competitive and relocation assistance is provided, as is an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/LTD insurance, retirement plan, sick leave, paid holidays, as well as other benefits.
