You will serve as a Lead Economic Development Specialist and your duties will include the following:
- Ensure that the Small Business Administration's (SBA) strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
- Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved.
- Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution
- Leads the team in: identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
- Trains or arranges for the raining of team members in methods techniques for team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects.
- Serves as a coach, facilitators and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and consensus building activities among team members.
- Develops and implements Strategic Marketing & Outreach Plan
- Building and maintaining a local network of collaborative partnerships with small business stakeholders such as economic development practitioners in Federal, state, regional and local government organizations, chambers of commerce, etc.
- Communicate Outreach Events and Small Business Presentations/Trainings
- Assessing, advising and counseling small businesses and individuals that contact SBA directly for assistance and linking them up with an appropriate referral to one of SBA resource partners.

QUALIFICATIONS: GS-13: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector such as:
- Developing marketing strategy for programs and services through outreach and promotion to successfully deliver an event to large and diverse audiences; and
- Developing and conducting outreach, training, and presentations to various organizations and small businesses on a wide range of business and financial management topics; and
- Building and maintaining collaborative alliances and partnerships with high level officials from various groups, such as chambers of commerce, economic development officials, government agencies, and educational institutions, to achieve objectives and counseling individuals on business management; and
- Using a variety of software applications and technologies in all aspects of the job.
