Leads the City of South Bend’s Economic Resources team and its efforts to develop strategies to manage economic development and redevelopment projects and effectively execute on those strategies. Specific activities include economic analysis and quantitative modeling, budgeting, real estate acquisition and disposition, residential and business relocation, demolition, and the management of economic development incentives. Administrative duties include budgeting, hiring personnel and property management as well. Supports the Executive Director of Community Investment in all of his/her responsibilities. Innovation, creativity, strong quantitative skills, high energy and problem solving are critical skills toward incumbent’s success.
  • A college degree in public administration, urban planning, law, finance, economics or a related field and five years of increasingly responsible positions in commercial or economic development finance, real estate, or a similar area of work experience.
  • A graduate degree in business, public administration, urban planning, law, finance and economics or related field is preferred
