Successful candidate will have:
  • A BS in Planning or Landscape Architecture
  • Previously demonstrated skills in ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD and other software such as Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus
  • Previously demonstrated written and oral presentation skills
  • U.S. Citizenship
Knowledge of:
  • Military Master Planning processes/techniques
  • LEED and sustainable planning and design principles
  • Form-Based Codes
  • Data collection and inventory methods

Woolpert, Inc., which is a leader in the integration of planning/design, technology and geospatial systems, is looking for a highly motivated junior military master planner with up to four (4) years of experience with military master planning projects for the Department of Defense. Projects would include Vision Plans, Area Development Plans and Installation Development Plans that require knowledge and application of Form-Based Codes, New Urbanism, LEED and other sustainable/resilience planning strategies. The successful candidate will also have strong GIS skills. Office location is in Dayton, OH. Prior military service is favorable.
Tasks will include:    
  • Proactively pursuing new graphic techniques, GIS technologies and keeping current on military master planning practices
  • Creating report mapping and presentation graphics
  • Working as part of integrated military master planning and design teams
  • Assisting in the research and preparation of reports
  • Traveling with project teams
