The Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is seeking to hire a Downtown Business Concierge. This position serves as a concierge for retail, services industry, other businesses and the development community within the Miami DDA district; and will help facilitate setting up of a new business, and expansions or renovations of existing businesses.
Assist businesses and the development community within the Miami DDA district with the federal, state, local agency and local government permitting and application processes. Liaise with all City of Miami Departments with specific attention to the Building, Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, Public Works, Capital Improvements Departments; Liaise with Miami Dade County Departments as needed; Liaise with the Federal, State and regional agencies. Have a complete understanding of the federal, state, local agency and local government permitting processes and establish a procedures manual and other information tools (i.e., brochures, pamphlets, etc.) for businesses to utilize. Actively provide recommendations to the Miami DDA on how to promote a business/development friendly climate for Downtown Miami. Review city regulations and ordinances as to their impact on Downtown’s businesses (i.e., street cafes, special events, entertainment district, etc.). Provide input and assist in formulating pertinent legislation as necessary.
High School degree required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or Urban Planning, Engineering, or related fields preferred; and at least two years progressively responsible experience in similar setting.  Construction management in association with the minimum referenced Education requirements is beneficial.
