The Senior Planner will work with municipal, regional and state government agencies and lead projects related to airport planning, bicyle and pedestrian planning, corridor planning, environmental compliance, infrastructure analysis, land use and urban growth strategies, traffic analysis, or transit planning. Specific assignments will depend on the skills of the individual.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Devise methods to conduct planning studies

Conduct data collection, field investigations and research related to airports, environment assessments, infrastructure, transit or transportation projects

Prepare maps and figures Lead public and stakeholder participation sessions

Manage engineering and planning staff and sub-consultants on project related activities

Prepare aviation, environmental, parking, transit or transportation planning reports and studies Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies, Geography, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning or related field. Master’s Degree is preferred. 8 – 14 years of experience; AICP or P.E. certification. Specialized experience in airport, municipal, or transit planning would be beneficial. Competence in desktop publishing, geographic information systems, graphic design, traffic analyses, or travel demand software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
