Description: Provide administrative support to the DrPH ProgramDirector with responsibility for oversight of the day-to-day activities and initiating, maintaining and revising academic programming and academic student support for the DrPH distance learners in the School of Public Health.

Duties:
Academic Administrative
• Compile and disseminate new and revised academic policies andprocedures.
• Work with Faculty and/or Program Director to make curriculum revisions.Coordinate and schedule DrPH academic program meetings, prepare meetingagendas and supporting materials, record meeting minutes, conductfollow-up and produce annual reports.
• Provide support to DrPH students by assisting them with questionsregarding academic requirements and procedures as they pass through theprogram; refer students to appropriate faculty or staff.
• Manage the DrPH admissions process by answering questions fromprospective applicants, coordinating electronic application system,organizing online events, updating website information and placingads.
• Manage the DrPH graduation process by coordinating the certification,approval and processing.
• Develop and maintain databases of student status, program queries,applicant status, etc.
• Coordinate, implement and manage annual Summer Institute event for DrPHstudents.
Marketing
• Assist in developing marketing plans and lead efforts forimplementing marketing initiatives.
• Maintain DrPH website pages and other social media and managenewsletter production.
Budget Management
• Monitor budget and handle fiscal transactions and accounts, such assupplies, food and travel expenses.
• Manage reimbursements and prepare other vouchers in accordance withUniversity policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Minimum Acceptable Requirements:
1. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling three years(36 months), from the categories below:
     A) College course work in any field.
          • 60 semesterhours equals 1 year (12 months)
          • 90 semesterhours equals 2 years (24 months)
          • 120 semesterhours or more equals 3 years (36 months)
     B) Progressively more responsible workexperience in supervising, organizing, coordinating or other significantwork with specific educational or administrative programinitiatives.
2. Two (2) years of responsible experience in supervising, organizing,coordinating or other significant work with specific educational oradministrative program initiatives. Three years experiencepreferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in public health, public administration, socialwork, healthcare administration, higher education administration, or arelated field preferred.
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize,and accomplish tasks
• Ability to work effectively with staff, the public, and outsideconstituency groups
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Supervisory and administrative ability
• Ability to utilize various computer software packages
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in order to be ableto analyze and investigate a variety of questions or problems
• Ability to analyze and develop guidelines, procedures, and system.
• Demonstrated proficiencies in office IT software (Word, Powerpoint,Excel, Access, Outlook). Working knowledge of html. Working knowledge ofBanner, SOPHAS, and campus student academic processes preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multipletasks with deadlines.
