The Chicago Office is seeking to fill a position as Project Manager with Knight’s Streetscape and Sustainable Design Program Management Team for the City of Chicago Dept. of Transportation (CDOT). The qualified applicant must have 5 years of experience in programming and planning in a transportation related field. The candidate could be an urban planner, architect, landscape architect or transportation engineer with the following skills and qualifications: Required Experience: Working knowledge of streetscapes, complete streets, cycling infrastructure, and sustainable infrastructure best practices Strong administrative and organizational skills Strong communication skills including public speaking and writing Experience in outreach with elected officials and community groups Familiarity with federal, state and city agencies and departments and their transportation funding programs Ability to monitor and report on project progress and achievements Understand the CDOT bidding and contracting procedures Experience in urban design, writing planning documents and guidelines, and the review of construction drawings a plus Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously Interested candidates, please apply on-line via the applicant tracking system located on Knight’s website, www.knightea.com .
