Budget Analyst II, Metra

Budget Analyst II

Summary of Duties:

Reporting directly to the Director, Budget, assists in the preparation of the annual operating budget by providing detailed analyses of financial and operating information related to the NIRCRC. Assists in the monitoring of budgetary performance of NIRCRC departments and specific budget line items. Performs analysis of financial statements, budgets, correspondence, general ledger and payroll data. Collects budget data, updates budget files, monitors completeness of detail and provides basic analysis for these budgets. Assists in the production, distribution and monitoring of submissions of NIRCRC budget forms. Promotes safe work practices as well as maintains and fosters a safe work environment. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.


Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field OR in lieu of degree four (4) years of equivalent work experience in a finance and accounting environment.
• In addition to #1, a minimum of three (3) years of finance and/or accounting experience which, includes financial analysis principles and concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites required.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
